About

To embrace such a demanding and restrictive mode of artistic expression as forged metalwork is the hallmark of a unique journey, guided by the will of an extraordinary individual.

When Bertille Laguet stepped into Philippe Naegele’s forge in Chexbres, she knew that destiny had guided her to the right place. The blacksmith passed on his craft, teaching her to master traditional techniques.

Bertille Laguet graduated from ECAL – Lausanne School of Art and Design – with a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design (2012). In 2020, she took over the historic Forge in Chexbres, alongside Lake Geneva, where she dedicates herself to preserving and renewing the qualities of our gestural and material heritage, blending art, design, and craftsmanship.
