COMPASSARE / Collaboration with Simon Depierraz (artist)

Compassare means « measure with steps ».

Thanks to the etymology of the word compass, our duo Simon Deppierraz and me
found a relationship between the idea of measurement and the physical movement.

Our thoughts around the different themes proposed; the augmented human,
the city of the future and gender and sexuality, led us to ask ourselves questions about
the notion of progress as well as the notion of usefulness of things and actions.

Quickly, we felt like create an absurd machine that aims to gather the spectators around
a common action. An action that we may or may not choose to do. This machine is
a human compass that visitors can activate. It is a machine that has no profitability but produces emotion.
